Dear Friends, Customers and Travel Agents,

I have sad news. We have closed the restaurant on 31 August.

Unfortunately, the Cairns economy does not seem to support a restaurant of our class anymore. The last 3 years were very difficult, we tried to hang on but we cannot envisage any positive changes for the next years. To the contrary, all valuable tourist markets for Cairns have been on a continuous decline and tourists seem to have little pocket money for extra expenditures.

Also, the current rent for a small place like ours was far too high to achieve any profits. We tried to negotiate a new arrangement with our landlords but this was unsuccessful.

We want to thank all of our faithful friends and clients over the last years for their support. Many turned up at our 10-course 5-year anniversary dinner which was in reality our farewell dinner. It was a great night, and for all participants, thank you so much for joining us.
